Druk Path Trek (Takin)Druk path trek is one of the most beautiful trek that can be trekked either from Thimphu to Paro or vise versa. It is 5 nights 6 days trek on average and depending on the physique of an individual the trekking duration can vary.
The trek follows the olden days pass though the forest. For the first two day one has to climb up the hills and from third day onward it is like walk through the park. The camp sites are breath taking and in some places it is in the vicinity of beautiful lake.
The pass is fraught with rich flora and fauna cover and one will really enjoy the entire trekking package. Your guide will be in a better position to explore the biodiversity cover and take a chance to ask as many questions as possible to your guide.

Day 1: Arrival at Paro.
Arrival to Paro International Airport, our representatives will guide you to the hotel for arrival refreshment, than guides you to Paro Dzong and Paro Taa Dzong. Lunch in the local restaurant in main town and after lunch, visit Drugyel Dzong and Kichu Monastry. Leisure at town in the evening.

Day 2: The most awaited hike to the famous tiger’s nest for altitude acclimatization.
Early break fast in the hotel and then proceed till the stop point from where the hike commences. It is three hours hike (to and fro).

Day 3: Trek commences:
Direction: Paro-Jele Dzong
Altitude: 8500 ft
Duration: 4 Hours

The day one trek is the simplest one with hiking along the gentle ascendingSlopes till the camp site near Jele Dzong. From the camp site one can view the beautiful paro valley. The camp site is located at yak Header’s place.

Day 4: Jele Dzong – jangchulakha
Direction: Jele Dzong-Jangchulakha
Altitude: 9500ft
Distance: 10 km

Climbing up hill for one and half hour will give you the taste of trekker’s passion for adventure life. After the climb the trail is plain and one will enjoy like walking along the park. The trail passes through the rhododendron and alpine forest. The camp site will be in the vicinity of Yak hearder’s camp.

Day 5: Jangchulakha – Jimilangtsho
Direction: Jangcchulakha-Jimilangtsho
Altitude: 1100ft
Distance: 11 km

The hike is along the mountain ridges and if the weather is clear one can clearly view the Mount Jhomolhari and natural sceneries at the distant far. Your camp lies in the vicinity of Jimilangthso, the lake famous for giant trouts.

Day 6: Jimilangtsho – Simkota
Direction: Jimilangtsho-simtokha
Altitude: 11500ft
Distance: 11 km

The trail passes through the dwarf rhododendron forest and bypasses the Janetsho (Lake). Camp site is located nearby Simkota Lake.

Day 7: Simkota - Phajodhing
Altitude: 9500ft
Distance: 10 Km

The day program will commence with a gentle climb along the ridges. In a clear day one can view the amazing Mountain Gangkar Phuensum, the highest mountain of Bhutan.
Few minutes descend from the top of hill will reach you to the campsite at Phajodhing from where one can view the scenes of Thimphu city.

Day 8: Phajodhing - Thimphu
Altitude: 8050ft
Distance: 8 km
Duration: 3 hours

From Phajodhing till Thimphu the way is down hill and it will take 2 hours. Your agent will be at the pick up point with arrival refreshment. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 9 Thimphu Sightseeing
Sightseeing in the capital includes visit to folk heritage museum, painting school, national library. After the lunch visit Changangkha lhakahng, motithang mini zoo and sagagang view point. Evening(after office hour) visit the main premises of Tahichoe Dzong.

Day 10: Thimphu Punakha
Early drive to Punakha en route Dochula pass which stands at 3500 meter from the sea level. From the top of the pass one can view chains of Eastern Himalayas including the highest mountain of Bhutan, Kula gangri.
Sight seeing in Punakha includes visit to Punakha Dzong and hike to Khamsum Yuelay namgyal Chhorten. Overnight at hotel in Punakha.

Day 11: Punakha-Paro
With fairly break fast in the hotel drive to Lobesa from where hike to Chimmimi Lhakhang commences. It is half an hour hike and it is very easy hike.
Lunch at Dochula Cafeteria and then drive to Paro for night halt.

Day 12: Exit
Early break fast and drive to paro international air port for board your flight for your on ward journey to your nest destination.
